Once upon a time, on a small farm in Georgia, there was a young girl who couldn't wait to get out and see the world.
She dreamed of leaving that farm, heading to the big city, and having a glamorous life as an actress, business woman, writer, or anything else that would support her in some fabulous lifestyle.
But in the mean time, she had her pen, her notebook, and a vivid imagination.
On the back porch, looking out at the oak tree and a colorful sunset, she wrote about her hopes and dreams, stories that fueled her imagination, and poetry that expressed her innermost feelings.
Having those dreams at a young age served me well. They fueled the adventure that has been my life.
Of course, things haven't always gone according to plan. Life has a way of tossing surprises into the best laid dreams.
But sometimes those surprises hold good things. I've traveled the world, held jobs that didn't feel like work, learned things that simultaneously satisfied my curiosity and fueled it, and I've met some amazing people along the way.
It may sound cliche, but I've learned to appreciate my adventure for what it is.
Do you have the challenge of finding time for family, work, and yourself? Do you yearn for connection with spirit? Do you revel in the comfort and security of home? Then we likely have some things in common.
One aspect of the adventure we get to have here on earth is not so much juggling or balancing all the things, but honing in on what things we want. Once I discovered this for myself, and made the leap into the pool of simplicity, it was like a weight was lifted. I had more clarity than ever about what makes me happy and gives my life meaning.
Is this the path you're on as well?
My hope is that the perspectives I share on this website will inspire you, encourage you, and fill your heart.
Thanks for being here!
